Remutaka FC Code of Conduct (v1)

Our Kaupapa

Remutaka FC is grounded in:

  • Whanaungatanga — building strong, respectful relationships
  • Manaakitanga — showing care, kindness and support
  • Kotahitanga — working together with unity and shared purpose

We expect everyone involved in our club to uphold these values at all times.


Everyone Agrees To:

  • Treat others with respect and dignity.
  • Speak and act in ways that strengthen relationships (Whanaungatanga).
  • Show care for players, whānau, volunteers and officials (Manaakitanga).
  • Support the team and club ahead of individual agendas (Kotahitanga).
  • Follow directions from coaches, referees and club volunteers.
  • Look after facilities and equipment.

Players Agree To:

  • Try their best and support their teammates.
  • Play fairly and with respect.
  • Listen to coaches and officials.
  • Tell a trusted adult if they feel unsafe or upset.

Parents / Whānau & Spectators Agree To:

  • Encourage positively from the sideline.
  • Allow coaches to coach.
  • Raise concerns privately and respectfully.
  • Model calm, respectful behaviour for our tamariki.

Coaches & Volunteers Agree To:

  • Put child safety and wellbeing first.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Coach positively and constructively.
  • Address concerns early and respectfully.

Raising a Concern

We encourage concerns to be raised early and respectfully, in line with our values.

For day-to-day matters:
• Speak with your child’s coach where appropriate.
• If the matter cannot be resolved, contact the Head Coach of the division or a member of the Executive Committee.

For more serious concerns:

Unacceptable Behaviour Includes:

  • Abusive, aggressive or degrading language.

  • Racial slurs, racism, or any form of discriminatory or demeaning behaviour.

  • Bullying, intimidation or harassment.

  • Physical aggression or threats.

  • Arguing with or abusing referees or officials.

  • Alcohol or drug impairment while responsible for children.


If Issues Arise

Remutaka FC will respond proportionately. This may include:

  1. Informal discussion
  2. Formal warning
  3. Being asked to leave a session or event
  4. Suspension
  5. Removal from the programme (for serious or repeated breaches)
